Quarterfinal Matches Set

PAWTUCKET -- It's already been an interesting championship, and it's only going to get better. 

The quarterfinal matches for the 106th Junior Amateur Championship at Pawtucket Country Club are set and it won't disappoint. 

In the boys' championship division, Joey Iaciofano, of Button Hole GC, will face Nate Jackson, of Pawtucket CC in the first match at 7:30 a.m. Iaciofano defeated Rocco Capalbo, of Shelter Harbor Golf Club, 3&2 on Tuesday. Jackson beat Eli Hamelsky, of Ledgemont CC, 3&2. 

Gordon Shi, of Button Hole, will face Noah Patel, of Newport Country Club. AJ Colonna, of Rhode Island CC, will face Raj Mammen, of Warwick in the other quarterfinal match. In the last quarterfinal match, Parker Kroll, of Quidnessett CC, will play Aidan Connell, of Crestwood. 

In the girls' division, two-time champion Olivia Williams, who had a bye in the Round of 16, will play Elizabeth Kue, of Button Hole. Defending champion, Lily Dessel, of Rhode Island CC, will play Kamryn Kue, of Button Hole.

In the other quarterfinal matches, Emma Lockhart, of Crestwood CC, will face Hanley Correia, of Ledgemont CC, while Claire McTaggart, of Rhode Island CC, will face Maggie McDonald, of Kirkbrae CC. 

In the boys' first division, Shawn Clary, of Segregansett CC, will compete against Avery Picchione, of East Greenwich, in the first quarterfinal match. Gavin Walsh and Sam Perry, both from Kirkbrae, will also square off. In the final two matches, Griffin Copper, of Potowomut, will face Charlie Winston, of Wanumetonomy G&CC, while Quinn Egan, of Button Hole, will play Christian Snowman, of USGA/RIGC. 

In the boys' U-14 division, Ishaan Catone, of Button Hole, who earned a bye in the Round of 16, will play Ben Fenster, of Wanumetonomy G&CC in the first match. Logan Ferreira, of Montaup, will play Luke Longfield, of The Misquamicut Club. In the other two matches, Ray Rainville, of Warwick CC, will face Weylin Lynch, of Pawtucket CC, while Kailer Louangxay, of Button Hole, squares off against Charlie Salem, of Wanumetonomy.
